When i saw Schnittchen had a competition going on to design your own pattern, how could i not join in?!
I decided to design a Dress For their Spring/Summer 2017 Collection, i drew on paper than infilled with colours on the laptop:
A Cute Floaty Halterneck Dress where the tie is Bias Binding. with an invisible zip to the Back and separate Bodice which is constructed with princess seams to replace darts and Gathered Skirt so it could be either a top or Dress depending on the Maker. I would feel this would work really well with Cotton Lawn or Viscose for a nice drape and airy feel. But the a nice cotton/polycotton would work also if the maker wanted more of a structured feel. This would suit a lot of makers as they can purchase 2 patterns in 1.
