Threadcount Patterns 1604

Hello and Happy Saturday to you all! I don’t know where abouts you all are but up here in Yorkshire it’s blumming beautiful! šŸ˜€

So I thought well what’s better than to show off my latest creation out and about in the lovely sunshine!

I’ve made option C from the pattern which is lovely floaty dress with a lined bodice with a button closure and elastic waist and hey presto a gorgeous summer dress!!

After getting my head round turning my lining through and closing it it was a very quick make! I love how the elastic is enclosed in the bodice and skirt seam it gives a great finish inside but no one else will see it but hey ho! That I also took 4 inches off the hem!! Gotta love my not so tall height issues!! šŸ˜‚

Tia Knight Fabrics kindly sponsored me this gorgeous flamingo fabric it’sĀ  100% Vicose and such a lovely light and floaty fabric which drapes beautifully with this dress where its gathers I couldn’t be more happier! what’s to love which such a great fabric and flamingos!!! Plus it’s a steal at Ā£4 a metre!

To say it’s my 1st attempt at lining a bodice and trying a new pattern company it’s a blooming success and a plus side too I had to cut a Size 10 yes!! This running malarkey and sensible eating is getting rid of the winter stores! šŸ˜‚

So what are your stitching plans this weekend?

I’m on with pattern testing for Gather with an new beautiful pattern coming your way soon! I can’t wait to sew it up!

Again a big thank you to Tia Knight Fabrics for supplying me with the flamingos and the very speedy delivery too!

Happy sewing!

Sal xx

  1. That fabric is so fun! I love how even though it’s a little bit off the beaten track with the motif, its still understated and very practical. The pleating at the neckline looks beautiful, too!
