A Pussy Bow Blouse

Hey all I’m back in action after dealing with a fractured finger but at least I’m in one piece still! ☺

Now looking through my wardrobe and noticed i didn’t have any smart blouses! I’ve always wanted a Pussy Bow Blouse but for some reason never got round to it until now…..LOL

The Lottie Blouse from Sew Simple was originally a cover pattern for Love Sewing Magazine issue 2 but it is also available as a PDF Pattern here  for free or as a Paper Pattern for £5.99 which includes the skirt too here.

Now going through my stash too, I came across this lovely White Cotton with Small Black Polka Dots and thankfully was 60″ wide so i only need 1.5m of it so I had plenty spare for another project 🙂

Now to say I haven’t made a Blouse before but as always Simple Sew Patterns are great to follow, i whipped up this beauty in about a day (inbetween boys pick up from School and work LOL)

I cut out a Size 12 according to my measurements the only adjustment I made was to the sleeve length by 2 inches as I always do with myself being a petite person lol!

To say you had to make your own bias binding and to sew it on and to make the collar bow it really was ‘Sew Simple’even for beginners so if your not that confident as you haven’t tried that technique before just take your time if you get stuck just get in touch with me ill be happy to guide you along.

Also as it doesn’t involve any zips or buttons it is a quick make as you just slip it over your head!
